Artist Statement
My art is rooted in the quiet, healing presence of nature. Rooted in village & shaped by my love for travel, I paint landscapes, florals, and natural elements— not to replicate them exactly, but to express how they make me feel.
I create expressive, layered acrylic paintings using brushes, palette knives, even my hands to create textures that bring movement and life to each piece. My palette is bright and uplifting — intended to bring joy and light into the spaces they inhabit.
I pour my creative energy into each piece with a single purpose: to create beauty. Not perfection, but beauty that stirs the heart gently. I don’t aim for strict realism. I want my work to feel alive, expressive, and joyful — the way nature feels when you pause just long enough to notice it. If someone sees my work and feels even a flicker of the joy I felt while painting it, I’ve done what I came to do. I aim to inspire others to recognize and appreciate the beauty of nature.
Though I work a full-time job in a different field, painting is the pulse of my life. I carve out time for it. Art is my therapy, my joy, my way of understanding the world. It is the part of my life that feels most natural, most mine. It is my way of honoring the beauty I see, and sharing it with others.
My artistic spirit comes from my mother. As a child, watching her painting left a quiet impression on me. I always found joy in creating — until society convinced me it wasn’t important. For years, I believed that. But after college, I came across a sketchbook that inspired me and changed everything. I picked up the brush again, and haven’t stopped since.
My art and I have grown together. We’ve been through every season of life — nourishing one another. It is a privilege and a blessing I return to again and again: to create, to feel, to heal, and to simply be.
